• Bee Happy, how to promote a Roof for Bees?

The idea for this illustration comes from an Instagram challenge #dtiys organized by the artist Poopikat. I loved her character and wanted to create my version. I also had a lot of luck; the sun was still high in the sky in Denmark, and the flowers were beautiful. I wanted to use this illustration to promote a French company that I greatly appreciate, Un Toit pour les abeilles (A Roof for Bees). The concept of this company is to help beekeepers through a membership. So, each month, you can sponsor a beehive near or far from your location. In return, you receive honey pots from that beekeeper. At the time, it was even possible to personalize the pot with your name. A fantastic gift! So, the initial idea was to place the character on a large flower. Unfortunately, despite its small size, it was still too heavy and made the flower tilt. I then settled for the community garden in our city, and I had plenty of choices. I finally chose lavender because it connects me to the south of France, the region where I grew up, and I found it perfect for the occasion. I love the final result because it is so bright and full of sweetness. 🐝

  • Did you ever play with Paper Dolls?

I have always played a lot with dolls, but what I loved was inventing stories and preparing my dolls. Once these steps were completed, I didn’t feel like playing anymore. One day, my parents took away my dolls for some reason I can’t quite remember. I felt empty and needed to release all those stories bubbling inside me. So, I remember drawing them on paper, cutting them out, and feeling relieved because I could once again immerse myself in that universe. Indeed, drawing has never been an end in itself for me, but only a step in creation. Drawing allows me and still allows me, to then play with my character, bring it to life in nature, in the house. Creating is giving a breath of life. That’s why Paper dolls have such a special place in my creative process. So here is a little paper doll to download. For now, she comes with a little skirt and a jumpsuit. I’m curious to know what other clothes or accessories you would like to have. 👗 You have two versions, one with and one without colors. I love to see your creations, so feel free to send them to me 🙂 By the way, today, I went to a firecamp singalong 🔥 (even if the firecamp in question was made of Lego bricks), and it was fantastic!

  • Feeling a little nostalgic? Color the best consoles in the World

Hello there! Here’s a little coloring page inspired by the best of consoles 🤣 Seriously, I fired up my Game Boy a few weeks ago, and once again, I was completely hooked! I explained to my kids that back in the day, we didn’t have saving options, and we had to start everything from scratch! I feel like drawing it and taking my little console out into nature. 🍃 I still remember the day I finally got my Game Boy. I was in 5th grade, and for Christmas, I received this awesome console. We went to buy it with my parents, and there were Scouts wrapping gifts. 🎁 🎄 I watched my precious Game Boy being wrapped by a Scout who didn’t quite master gift wrapping, and I remember having a good laugh with my mother. I played so much at Tetris, intending to see the rocket! And Super Mario of course, and Zelda, and, and… just listening to the bip sound at the intro, with the Nintendo world, brings me so many memories. So here’s a little nostalgic coloring page of one of the best consoles in the world! ✨

  • In the middle of the storm, Remember to Breathe

Did you have a good weekend? We’re almost at the end of August, and it’s as if I didn’t even see it go by! It’s incredible how it flies by. I’m working on a new children’s book talking about yoga, nature, and meditation. The characters are magic creatures, living in the middle of the forest, but I’ll say more about this project in the future. Anyway, I wanted to remind myself to “breathe.” 💨 especially when everything goes crazy! So I’ve prepared this wallpaper for my phone using one of my illustrations for the children’s book project. And every time I use my phone, I see this small and kind reminder, and I breathe. You can download it for free. Take good care of yourselves😚

  • My Illustrated Short Story: “A Bright Bouquet”

This week has been quite a complicated one here, and as often happens to me, when too many strong emotions mix, I get sick. 🤒 As a result, I was down for the entire week. And it’s never fun, especially when you also have to take care of the children. But as often happens, these moments of forced pause by the body have also allowed me to clear my mind. To move forward in a way. 🌟 I’m presenting you with a short story I wrote a few weeks ago. I wanted to bring it to life, and I hope you’ll enjoy it. Tomorrow is the first day of school in Denmark, so we’ll slowly ease back into the routine! 🎒 A routine that I’ll prepare gently and with lots of love. A Bright Bouquet The dress was bright and beautiful. Never before had she felts so pretty in her entire life. She was like the lovely dolls in the magazines, the ones we admire but can’t quite look like. But here she was, being herself and shining. In her hand, she was helding a beautiful and bright bouquet, a magical one. She was not only beautiful but also adorable and she knew it. However, it was during this precise moment of glory that her neighbor, Victor, chose to step outside. “Do you have your mind all scrambled, Daniel? Why are you dressed like that? Did you hurt your head somewhere?” Victor asked sounding puzzled. What could Daniel possibly say in response to such questions? That no, he was perfectly fine, more than ever in his life, he was truly himself, he was his truest self. No, Daniel didn’t have an answer because there was absolutely nothing to explain. So he simply smiled. “Okay” replied Victor, feeling a bit embarrassed…
