• Did you ever play with Paper Dolls?

I have always played a lot with dolls, but what I loved was inventing stories and preparing my dolls. Once these steps were completed, I didn’t feel like playing anymore. One day, my parents took away my dolls for some reason I can’t quite remember. I felt empty and needed to release all those stories bubbling inside me. So, I remember drawing them on paper, cutting them out, and feeling relieved because I could once again immerse myself in that universe. Indeed, drawing has never been an end in itself for me, but only a step in creation. Drawing allows me and still allows me, to then play with my character, bring it to life in nature, in the house. Creating is giving a breath of life. That’s why Paper dolls have such a special place in my creative process. So here is a little paper doll to download. For now, she comes with a little skirt and a jumpsuit. I’m curious to know what other clothes or accessories you would like to have. 👗 You have two versions, one with and one without colors. I love to see your creations, so feel free to send them to me 🙂 By the way, today, I went to a firecamp singalong 🔥 (even if the firecamp in question was made of Lego bricks), and it was fantastic!

  • When I cry… My Ebook about emotions

I’m slowly getting used to the rain that keeps on falling, thinking that summer seems to be over. However, I still have a little doubt and I tell myself that the sun will come back when everyone goes back to work! Lately, I started creating a very simple format of stories to share them and also to improve my storytelling and illustration skills. Often, these stories are inspired by my daily life and topics that I find important regarding child development. This first story is simply based on my experiences. When I don’t feel well, I feel even worse if people ask me too many questions. So, perhaps I’m still at the same stage of development as children… If you have any comments or story ideas, I would be really happy to hear them.

  • My children’s book about food “I want to eat”

It all started with small sketches as a joke, and I thought it would be an excellent idea for a little flap book. Funnily, I really enjoyed exploring different foods and their possible reactions. Always with that paper doll aspect that I love so much, I decided to make the objects manipulable so that the child could not only read the book but also play with it for real. The reactions from the children were truly adorable, and I loved seeing them constantly playing with this little character. What I wanted to create for this project was not only a book but an experience. And it worked so well. The children were asking about this little boy as a toy, and they enjoyed playing with the ingredients and their reactions. Actually, they played a lot with it and it’s still a hit! And they also talk about food and the possible reactions in our bodies. I wish I could find an easy solution to print this one and share it with more children.

  • How to celebrate the Full Moon with your Children?

The full Moon is quite magical. Just looking at it, at her, peace my soul and bring me comfort. For many years now, I’ve been tracking the Moon because I feel so connected with her. A full moon is a perfect moment to let go. Let go of our fear, our sadness, and much more. I started with women’s circles in France and missed them deeply when I moved to Denmark. I didn’t find any group in Copenhagen, even if I’m sure such things exist there. Anyway, I started my rituals by lighting a candle, listening to soft music, and picking an oracle card. After that, I discovered the “Womb Blessing” organized by Miranda Grey, and it helped me also to understand and connect more deeply with the Moon. I know it sounds strange, but when you let go of all that, you can freely receive the “magic.” A friend sent me a beautiful book for my birthday, and since then, it has guided me through the night and the Moon. Gardiennes de la lune, by Stéphanie Lafranque So here are simple steps to follow if you want to start with Full Moon rituals: Here are simple things that I love doing with my children. As I can see, they are very fond of magical rituals and connection with nature, and it seems like a fun activity from their point of view. I had to learn how to let go because things don’t always go the way I thought, but I love the energy they bring into it. Have you ever done such rituals? Are you curious about it?
