• How to live a balanced life? The 4 Agreements explained to children

During a women’s circle, one of the people introduced me to the 4 Agreements. I immediately wanted to dive into this world and started listening to the audiobook to better understand them. It’s a book written by Don Miguel Ruiz If you are not familiar with this work, it consists of 4 major laws to apply in everyday life to find a better balance and transform one’s life positively. ✨ The 4 agreements are: After discovering these laws and starting to apply them in my daily life, I couldn’t help but discuss them with my daughter. I wondered how I could create something visually that could help her better understand these concepts. I found this video (at the end of this post) of Olivier Clerc in French explaining the agreements while making an analogy with knights, and I really liked that parallel. So I decided to draw inspiration from it to translate these 4 agreements to children. ✨ Here’s a quick explanation of the different principles: I hope this poster will help you introduce this wonderful concept to your children! • Bee Happy, how to promote a Roof for Bees?

The idea for this illustration comes from an Instagram challenge #dtiys organized by the artist Poopikat. I loved her character and wanted to create my version. I also had a lot of luck; the sun was still high in the sky in Denmark, and the flowers were beautiful. I wanted to use this illustration to promote a French company that I greatly appreciate, Un Toit pour les abeilles (A Roof for Bees). The concept of this company is to help beekeepers through a membership. So, each month, you can sponsor a beehive near or far from your location. In return, you receive honey pots from that beekeeper. At the time, it was even possible to personalize the pot with your name. A fantastic gift! So, the initial idea was to place the character on a large flower. Unfortunately, despite its small size, it was still too heavy and made the flower tilt. I then settled for the community garden in our city, and I had plenty of choices. I finally chose lavender because it connects me to the south of France, the region where I grew up, and I found it perfect for the occasion. I love the final result because it is so bright and full of sweetness. 🐝

  • Feeling a little nostalgic? Color the best consoles in the World

Hello there! Here’s a little coloring page inspired by the best of consoles 🤣 Seriously, I fired up my Game Boy a few weeks ago, and once again, I was completely hooked! I explained to my kids that back in the day, we didn’t have saving options, and we had to start everything from scratch! I feel like drawing it and taking my little console out into nature. 🍃 I still remember the day I finally got my Game Boy. I was in 5th grade, and for Christmas, I received this awesome console. We went to buy it with my parents, and there were Scouts wrapping gifts. 🎁 🎄 I watched my precious Game Boy being wrapped by a Scout who didn’t quite master gift wrapping, and I remember having a good laugh with my mother. I played so much at Tetris, intending to see the rocket! And Super Mario of course, and Zelda, and, and… just listening to the bip sound at the intro, with the Nintendo world, brings me so many memories. So here’s a little nostalgic coloring page of one of the best consoles in the world! ✨

  • When I cry… My Ebook about emotions

I’m slowly getting used to the rain that keeps on falling, thinking that summer seems to be over. However, I still have a little doubt and I tell myself that the sun will come back when everyone goes back to work! Lately, I started creating a very simple format of stories to share them and also to improve my storytelling and illustration skills. Often, these stories are inspired by my daily life and topics that I find important regarding child development. This first story is simply based on my experiences. When I don’t feel well, I feel even worse if people ask me too many questions. So, perhaps I’m still at the same stage of development as children… If you have any comments or story ideas, I would be really happy to hear them.

  • My children’s book about food “I want to eat”

It all started with small sketches as a joke, and I thought it would be an excellent idea for a little flap book. Funnily, I really enjoyed exploring different foods and their possible reactions. Always with that paper doll aspect that I love so much, I decided to make the objects manipulable so that the child could not only read the book but also play with it for real. The reactions from the children were truly adorable, and I loved seeing them constantly playing with this little character. What I wanted to create for this project was not only a book but an experience. And it worked so well. The children were asking about this little boy as a toy, and they enjoyed playing with the ingredients and their reactions. Actually, they played a lot with it and it’s still a hit! And they also talk about food and the possible reactions in our bodies. I wish I could find an easy solution to print this one and share it with more children.
