Did you ever play with Paper Dolls?
I have always played a lot with dolls, but what I loved was inventing stories and preparing my dolls. Once these steps were completed, I didn’t feel like playing anymore. One day, my parents took away my dolls for some reason I can’t quite remember. I felt empty and needed to release all those stories bubbling inside me. So, I remember drawing them on paper, cutting them out, and feeling relieved because I could once again immerse myself in that universe.
Indeed, drawing has never been an end in itself for me, but only a step in creation. Drawing allows me and still allows me, to then play with my character, bring it to life in nature, in the house. Creating is giving a breath of life. That’s why Paper dolls have such a special place in my creative process.
So here is a little paper doll to download. For now, she comes with a little skirt and a jumpsuit. I’m curious to know what other clothes or accessories you would like to have. đ You have two versions, one with and one without colors.
I love to see your creations, so feel free to send them to me đ
By the way, today, I went to a firecamp singalong đ„ (even if the firecamp in question was made of Lego bricks), and it was fantastic!
