How to react when you’re child is in an emotional tornado?
Emotions are always a big struggle for children (and for adults too by the way). That’s why I wanted to create a simple tool to help them navigate and understand the “main” emotions. My first observation is that it can be so frustrating for a child to feel all these big emotions without being able to understand or put words on them. So they explode in their way, it can be shouting, crying, hurting, kicking everything… And as adults, as we don’t react like that anymore (just sometimes) we are always surprised by the intensity of this volcano of emotions. From printed doodles to traditional painting
Sometimes, I like to play with digital creations. It’s nice, different, and sometimes easier when you have kids running around you! (I say sometimes, because most of the time, I feel that traditional drawing is much easier with my children as they want to come and draw too) So I decided to draw winter doodles to illustrate this cozy mood. For Valentine’s Day, don’t send a card, color it
I’ve started to draw a doodle page almost every day, and I love forcing myself to fill the page. I used to do a huge drawing or two on a page before and start again somewhere else. Forcing myself to fill the space makes me find other techniques and other ways to do it. Having a new Sketchbook was also a nice opportunity to start this new method. I drew a Heart doodle last week and enjoyed it. So I decided to redo it in a digital version. Valentine’s Day is a very special day for me.
